The Ottawa Hospital serves patients throughout the eastern Ontario region. In the coming weeks, The Ottawa Hospital will host a series of community information sessions about the process for planning and designing a new facility to replace its aging Civic Campus.

Why come?

These events set the stage for the planning that will happen over the life of the project in the next several years. You’ll learn about:

  • How we plan services for the hospital through anticipated health needs and populations trends for future generations
  • The ‘art of the possible’ and what 21st-century hospitals look like in Canada and around the world
  • How you can engage and share your ideas now and in the future.

Bring your questions – after the presentations, you can chat with the experts and representatives from the hospital about service planning, hospital design, engagement and more. We want to hear your feedback so that we can use it to inform planning during later stages.

Tell us what matters to you

We’re building the hospital of the future together – right here in Ottawa. As we get started, we want to know what to focus on first. Community stakeholders told us earlier this year what was most important to them in planning a new hospital for Ottawa and eastern Ontario. Tell us what YOU think and share your ideas.

Over the coming years, the hospital will host more in-person and online engagement opportunities on a variety of issues.

Engaging patients and community members throughout the region is vital to helping make the new campus of The Ottawa Hospital a continued leader in world-class care and a key partner in the region’s health system.
